The Nicole Fegan U14 Challenge Cup💙
Earlier today Mayobridge GAC hosted the inaugural Nicole Fegan Challenge cup for U14 Camogie. Seven teams competed on the day, Mayobridge, Clonduff, Castlewellan, Crossmaglen, Aghaderg, Portaferry and Kilclief Ben Dearg. The camogie was played at a high standard and although very competitive was played in a very sporting manner throughout. Crossmaglen were the eventual winners beating a very galant Castlewellan side in a hard fought close final. The tournament concluded with Nicole’s parents Cathal and Margo Fegan presenting the Crossmaglen Captains with the Nicole Fegan Challenge Cup. Mayobridge GAC would like to thank all players, mentors and supporters from all clubs who participated in today’s event and particularly Marie Sherry for organising this tournament. Thank you to the referees Veronica Ward and Niamh Sharkey who officiated at today’s tournament, also a huge thank you to all volunteers who provided teas, coffees, sandwiches and tray bakes for all present.
We cannot leave out our dynamic duo Dessie Kennedy and Brendan Monaghan for their stellar professional services today.
And finally Mayobridge GAC would like to thank Cathal and Margo and all members of the Fegan family who attended today’s tournament in what was a very special day to honour the memory of Nicole.💙
