MAYOBRIDGE NOTES
Congratulations to our Down Scór na nÓg Champions in the quiz team section and Ceile dancing who were crowned winners on Sunday last at St Patrick’s High School in Banbridge. The standard was very high but both our Quiz team and Ceile dancers gave fantastic performances when the pressure was on and were worthy champions. Down County Chairman Sean Rooney congratulated everyone involved and wished all participants further success as they progress to the Ulster Competition. Well done to all.
Seven of our U–16 club members who play for their school Sacred Heart, Newry are hosting a Christmas movie night on Friday night (13th December) at 7pm in the Social Club The school has reached the All Ireland series so this is a fund-raising event to help in their bid for all-Ireland glory. Let’s support ourgirls on Friday night.
Thanks to all those volunteers who helped make the Senior Members Christmas Party so enjoyable on Sunday afternoon. Well done everyone.
The Annual “King of the Board” darts competition will be held in the Social Club on Saturday 28th December at 4.00.pm.
Congratulations to our senior footballer Conleth O’Hare on his marriage to Claire Gallagher on Saturday and the club would like to wish them every happiness for the future.
