MAYOBRIDGE CLUB NOTES

Congratulations to Our Lady’s, Newry on a nail – biting win in their U-16 Ulster Schools final over St Clare’s, Ballyjamesduff on Wednesday and especially to our own Ellie Carr who played a starring role in the victory. Well done Ellie and the rest of the team and management.
Mayobridge GAC would like to extend heartiest congratulations to our neighbours, the Clonduff camogie team on their fantastic achievement in reaching the All Ireland Intermediate Final defeating Craughwell (Galway) by 1-8 to 0-9 on Sunday.
The club would like to thank Fr Des Mooney who officiated at the special mass on Wednesday evening in the Social Club, which was a lovely way to commence our Club Year of 2019. Thanks also to those who helped to organise the evening, Chairperson Mairead Rooney, and all who participated in the mass, readers, gift carriers, Michelle and choir. A special thank you is extended to Liam Magee who wrote a beautiful reflection read by his daughter Oonagh McArdle. The mass concluded with Eimear Magee who sang our National Anthem, Amhràn an bhFiann. Finally the club would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to all our volunteers who provided tray bakes and helped serve the tea and coffee afterwards.
