New Trees

Another fine idea indeed from Mayobridge GAC!
On Saturday past we had the planting of Hornbeam trees at the boundary of Mayobridge football pitch. As we know trees are held in high respect not just because of their size and longevity but the native hornbeam tree offers seasonal interest as its glossy green foliage will turn a coppery color in Autumn. It’s wildlife friendly and holds its leaves throughout winter, and will provide a safe and secure habitat for garden wildlife during the cold season. Well done to all 🌳
