Mayobridge Club Notes Sunday 19th 2020

On Sunday afternoon we held our first session for Annual Club Registration and memberships for 2020.  There will be an opportunity to also register on Friday Evening 24th January at the Underage Presentations commencing 6pm.

On Sunday morning our Chairperson Mairead Rooney joined Clonduff GAC for their Camogie Big Breakfast. Mairead also took the opportunity to present the 2019 All Ireland Intermediate Camogie champions with a plaque on behalf of Mayobridge GAC.

Mayobridge GAC wish our young Camogs, Aoibheann Woods, Mollie Smyth, Shannon and Johnelle Barr, Grace McShane, Grace Cunningham, Ella Gribben, Aine Magee, Laura Greenan, Emily Fitzpatrick and the entire Sacred Heart Grammar Camogie panel good luck as they compete in the Senior Medallion School Shield Final on Tuesday in Ballymacnab. Good luck ladies.

Our first ‘Walk and Talk’ event will occur on Sunday 2nd February at 9am, starting from Mayobridge GAA Social Club.

Mayobridge GAC saddened to hear of the passing of Etta Murphy (Mullabawn) Grandmother of underage camogie coach Ciára Cunningham.We convey our condolences to Eamon, Noel, Mary, Anne and to the entire Murphy and Cunningham families. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Mayobridge GAC are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Arlene Rippard RIP (Turmore Road Saval). We convey our sympathies to her daughters Natalie and Tanya and also to sister and esteemed member Isobel Linden. We would also like to send condolences to her brothers and sisters and entire Sands and Linden families at this sad time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

 

LGFA – Welcome to 2020! It’s that time of year again and we need to confirm teams and number of teams for each league.

Mayobridge LGFA must confirm number of teams to the County by Friday 24th of January 2020, therefore we need to know who will be playing with us this year.

Please PRIVATE MESSAGE SEAN MCELROY ONLY with child/children’s name and age group. This will allow us to enter the correct number of teams in an age group to maximise playing time for our young athletes.


Mayobridge Underage Presentations will take place on Friday evening 24th January 2020 in the Social Club.   6pm -7pm U6-U10’s Football, Camogie, Scor and Handball presentations, followed by

7pm-8pm U12-U16’s Football, Camogie Scor and Handball presentations.  On Friday evening Committee members will also be available to assist with Down Draw/Club Membership Registrations at the club.

Lotto Results; There was no winner of this week’s lotto held 13th January.  The numbers were 4,17,25,26.  There were 6 Match Three winners, Helen Butterfield (Colleen Franklin), Cunningham family (Kate Cunningham), Ann Rooney (House Draw), Cindy Griffin (Nigel Griffin), Colm Higgins, (Klubfunder) Gary Heaney (House Draw).   Promoters’ Draw Winner: Priscilla Rodgers.  Next Week’s Jackpot: £10,700
