Mayobridge Club Notes Sunday 13th October 2019

MAYOBRIDGE NOTES

A massive congratulations to our own Grace Cunningham who has been selected on the Ulster PP Camogie All Stars Team for the 2019-20 season. Grace who is a student at Sacred Heart in Newry has created a little of her own history in bringing the first camogie all-star award to the club. Excellent achievement Grace and well deserved.

There will be a short meeting next Wednesday night (16/10/19) at 7pm in the Social Club about organising some revision classes for anyone studying Irish for GCSE or A-level. If you or someone you know would be interested in attending these classes could you please come to the meeting so we can have an idea of the number of students involved. Go raibh maith agaibh.

The Committee and members of Mayobridge GAC are deeply saddened by the passing of a wonderful lady, Peggy Coulter. Peggy was a former member of the Ladies Committee and a fervent supporter of the club and our community is very much diminished by her passing. The club would like to extend sincere and heartfelt sympathy to former footballers, Thomas, Jimmy and Robbie and former camogie player, Mary on the death of their mother and also express sincere condolences to the extended Coulter family circle. May she rest in peace. Mary Queen of the Gael pray for her.

Mayobridge GAC is shocked at the sudden passing of Eamonn Burns, All Ireland winner with Down in 1991 and 1994 and former Down manager. We would like to extend sincere and heartfelt sympathy to his wife Sinead, sons Cathal and Thomas, brothers, Malachy and Colm, sister Mary and the extended Burns family circle and to the Gaels of Bryansford. Ar dheis go raibh aanam.
