St Patrick’s Primary School Mayobridge Canon Esler Shield Winners with Management Colin Laverty and teacher Mr Foy

Huge congratulations to Mayobridge Primary School team who won the Canon Esler Shield at Páirc Esler on Sunday afternoon. Final Score: St Patrick’s Primary School Mayobridge 5-13 to St Colman’s Primary School Saval 2-4. Well done team and management.

On Sunday the U-21 footballers, pictured above, won the Dalsey Mooney Cup competition by defeating the host club Clonduff in the final. Well done to the team and management.
Mayobridge U-21 team set out on the championship trail this weekend when they entertain Bryansford. Good luck to the team and management.
Down U-16 ladies (born 2004) trials commence this Saturday 26th October 2019 at the Abbey GS, Newry and the following Mayobridge girls have been asked to attend: Ellie Carr, Emily Fitzpatrick, Laura Greenan and Leah O’Hare.. Good luck ladies.
The dates for the Scór na n-Óg 2020 competition have been announced. South Down Semi-Finals: 8th, 9thand 10th November. South Down Final: 23rd November. Down County Final: 1st December.
Mayobridge GAC would like to express sincere condolences to our senior player, Shealan Strain on the death of his grandfather Charlie Strain RIP and to extend our deepest sympathy to the extended Strain family circle. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
The Committee and members of the Mayobridge club are deeply saddened by the passing of another lovely lady from our community, Kathleen O’Hare (nee Gallagher), and the club would like to express sincere and heartfelt sympathy to her daughters, Ann and Shirley, sons, Brendan, Jim and Gerry, sister Anne and the extended O’Hare and Gallagher family circles. May she rest in peace. Mary Queen of the Gael pray for her.
